Our organic Sasso chickens live free-range, open-air lives on our fully organically certified pastures and are allowed to develop longer - twice as long as conventionally reared chickens. We finish our birds after 80 days, so that their meat has time to develop its flavour fully.
Native to France, Sassos are a slow growing breed and have proved to be ideally suited to organic free range: naturally resistant to disease and easy to rear. They feed solely on a diet of organic clover and grain.
