This delicious chocolate is produced for Daylesford Organic according to international Fairtrade standards, which guarantee cocoa and sugar producers an agreed and stable price. It is made from precious crops of Peruvian criollo cocoa beans, cultivated in the valleys of the Andes, to give bright, fruity notes complemented by a hint of treacle from the Fairtrade organic sugar.
They are combined with the purest organic cocoa butter into a palette of very smooth chocolate. The chocolate is made in England by L’Artisan du Chocolat of London, who became the first to challenge the master chocolatiers of Belgium and Switzerland, by mixing, conching and refining each batch themselves, to produce the intensity of flavour that marks out a masterpiece of the chocolate-maker’s art.
