Just as we rear our animals throughout their lives with the utmost care for their welfare and contentment, so we ensure that when it comes to slaughter, the process is as compassionate and stress-free as possible.

Our organic lamb and mutton comes from Lleyns, Scotch halfbreds, Romneys and Poll Dorsets: British breeds of sheep best suited to local climate and conditions. They are allowed to mature naturally on unpolluted pastures.

Our pedigree Aberdeen Angus herd is a closed BSE-free herd, reared organically. Cows are allowed to suckle their own calves, and are kept together to minimise stress. This has a marvellous effect on their health, and increases their natural resistance.

Our pork tastes superb because it comes from contented, healthy pigs, reared organically and free to forage, at a family-run organic farm in Shropshire which meets our high standards.
